NIEL Recommendations
- Designate Government Minister with specific responsibility for Sustainable Development in Northern Ireland
- Recognise sustainable development as a cross–cutting principle for all government departments to embed into policy
- Development of a Communications Strategy to assist in the delivery of the Sustainable Development Strategy and its Implementation Plan
- Showcase best practice Sustainable Development projects and initiatives to demonstrate the multiple benefits and encourage uptake of sustainability principles
