PEACEPLUS funding for CHANGE

We’re delighted to receive PEACEPLUS funding to deliver CHANGE (Collaborative Horizons for All-Island Nature and Governance Enhancement). CHANGE is a cross-border initiative led by Northern Ireland Environment Link in partnership with the Irish Environmental Network (IEN). The project will respond to environmental governance challenges across the island of Ireland, including climate change, biodiversity loss, marine ecosystem degradation, and declining freshwater quality.
Over the past number of years, NIEL and its sister network IEN have been working together to address cross-border environmental challenges, focusing on research, dialogue, and relationship building within the environmental NGO sector. The project draws on this extensive experience.
CHANGE is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project aims to strengthen cross-border environmental governance and resilience by developing a shared framework to understand and address regulatory divergence. Through consultation with environmental NGOs, public bodies, researchers, and communities, CHANGE will co-design practical, evidence-based solutions and strategic action plans to support coordinated responses to shared environmental challenges.
