We’re seeking a Biosecurity and Community Engagement Officer to join an ambitious programme dedicated to safeguarding Northern Ireland’s internationally important seabird populations, while sharing best practice across the island of Ireland.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Lead practical conservation work to restore and protect islands managed for breeding seabirds, ensuring these habitats remain secure and resilient.
- Work with local communities and stakeholders, building strong partnerships that inspire people to value and protect seabirds.
- Champion awareness and collaboration, supporting the long-term recovery of kittiwakes and other species that depend on healthy coastal habitats.
This is your opportunity to combine hands-on conservation with community engagement, making a tangible contribution to the future of seabirds across Ireland.
Funded by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), the Coastal Monitoring and Adaptation Planning (CMAP) project is a €9.6M cross-border initiative, led by Ulster University.
