National Trust – Internal Communications Officer

Description

We’re looking for a skilled content creator and communicator to support the development and delivery of our internal communications in Northern Ireland.

You’ll develop and deliver content in a variety of formats, supporting wider reach and engagement of staff and volunteers across the country. If you’re curious to learn about people and places, enjoy sharing compelling stories, are organised and love working across a range of projects, this is a great role for you.

What it’s like to work here

We’re for ever, for everyone and we really mean that. We want everyone to feel welcome and enjoy access to natural and built heritage, in ways that are relevant to them. We’re working to adapt our places and enhance nature and biodiversity in the face of climate change.

Your contractual place of work will be the National Trust office at Rowallane House. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of the marketing, communications and external affairs team in Northern Ireland, you’ll support the development and delivery of an internal communications plan here.

You’ll plan, create and curate engaging content (copy, images, video) for our internal audiences, manage internal channels, and seek feedback enabling us to grow engagement.

You’ll champion internal engagement with the National Trust’s new strategy, supporting the team with briefings, listening sessions, and workshops. You will be helping to deliver our new strategy in Northern Ireland.

A skilled content creator and communicator, you’ll bring our work and stories to life for staff and volunteers. You’ll be celebrating and sharing our NI team’s contribution to our charitable purpose, looking after nature, beauty and history for everyone to enjoy.

You’ll be highly organised, an excellent team player and confident building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
