National Trust – Family Activities Support

Description

There is nothing like a fun day out and Family Activities volunteers help us make them happen, from leading outdoor games, engaging children with arts and crafts, storytelling or helping with family trails, it’s all about offering something fun and memorable. Are you looking to enhance your CV or just enjoy engaging with families? Our Summer of Play is on its way and we would especially love some help to provide fun activities at the Giant’s Causeway during July and August, although opportunities are available all year round.

Do you live relatively locally to the Causeway Coast? As a conservation charity aiming to reduce team carbon emissions we would love to hear from potential volunteers who do not need to travel too far to volunteer with us

By getting involved, you could:

  • Join an enthusiastic and varied team and make some new friends
  • Pass on your enthusiasm to children and families.
  • Enjoy new experiences and learn new skills.
  • Share your passion for the local community and our special places

This is a very flexible role and you could use your skills to support general activities as well as Summer of Play events. Whether planning or delivering activities, storytelling, creating displays, practical help with signage and set up, or simply chatting to visitors and making them feel welcome on the day – we’d love your input.

This role will suit you if you are…

  • Someone who enjoys engaging with families and young children.
  • Friendly, fun and outgoing, and willing to get stuck in with activities.
  • Cheerful and positive, even when the weather’s not on your side
  • Available to help out at weekends, during summer holidays and half terms.
  • Someone who enjoys a busy environment
  • Someone who loves variety whether it’s being outside in nature or getting creative indoors
