Butterfly Conservation – Limestone Grassland Project Manager

Responsible To: Head of Nature Recovery – Northern Ireland
Location: Hybrid working: mainly home-based, with occasional time at the Derrygonnelly field office. Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and cross-border.
Salary: £34,000 – £37,000 per annum (Grade 4), depending on experience plus 8% pension contribution
Duration: Fixed term until 31st July 2029
Hours: 37 hours per week (1 FTE)

PeacePlus Nature is an ambitious €20.8 million programme that brings together nine partners to tackle the decline in priority species and habitats in Northern Ireland, and the border counties of Ireland.

Job Purpose
- To oversee the delivery of Butterfly Conservation’s Limestone Grassland PEACEPLUS project, which forms part of PeacePlus Nature in Northern Ireland.
- Line management, support and full compliance of the project team, and reporting of Butterfly Conservation’s PeacePlus Nature project.
- To lead on engaging and developing effective partnerships with key stakeholders and statutory agencies in identified priority landscapes forming part of ‘PeacePlus Nature’.
- To engage with a broad range of stakeholders to provide management advice and develop pathways of access to the information they need to manage land sympathetically for priority habitats and species identified in the PeacePlus Nature project.
