Belfast City Council – Project Manager (Nature Towns and Cities)

Description

Responsible to the Lead Officer OSS for the effective organisation, oversight and overall management and delivery of the capacity building project ‘Breaking Down Barriers – Connecting People and Nature in Belfast’: Lead on the development of a blueprint for nature’s recovery within the project area, with a focus on developing new nature-positive practices within existing blue and green spaces in Belfast, as well as new initiatives and project plans to ‘green the grey’.

Responsible for:

  • being lead contact for the funder, National Lottery Heritage Fund, and responsible for all requirements within the letter of offer.
  • being the main administrator for the project board including preparation of reports and all other papers to facilitate board meetings.
  • overseeing the development and delivery of all elements of the project, including managing the project team.
  • project governance and engaging with stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits to be realised.
  • maintaining relationship and communication with relevant staff within the project partner organisation, Ulster Wildlife.
