Time is running out for the Northern Ireland Executive to deliver on its commitment to protect 30% of land and sea for nature by 2030. There is considerable concern within the environmental sector that the 30by30 target will not be met unless efforts are scaled up and advanced at pace.

Following on from the UK-wide report which was published last year, NIEL is currently drafting a report recommending next steps for DAERA and NIEA if they are to achieve 30by30.
