Northern Ireland Environment Link are shocked and saddened to hear that our friend and former colleague Iona Meyer has passed away.

Iona joined the NIEL team in January 2006 as an Administration Support Officer having previously worked at the Civil Service and Ulster University. Iona subsequently took up the role of Networks, Events and Membership Co-ordinator and provided secretariat for the NI Archaeology Forum and Education for Sustainable Development Forum. Iona retired in June 2023 following 17 years of service and dedication to NIEL.

She will be dearly missed by all of us at NIEL. Our thoughts are with Iona’s family and friends at this difficult time.
