The latest research from the People in the Outdoors Monitor for Northern Ireland (POMNI) provides new insight into how people use outdoor spaces, the benefits they experience, and the barriers that limit participation.
This webinar will present the key findings from the 2025 Headline Report, including trends in participation, demand for outdoor activity, health and wellbeing impacts, and inequalities in access to greenspace since the first POMNI survey in 2020/21.
With 70% of adults getting outdoors every week and 80% wanting to do more, the findings highlight both the importance of outdoor recreation and the opportunity to enable more people to benefit.
The session will explore what the evidence means for policy, planning, and practice – particularly in relation to improving access, supporting healthier communities, and protecting the natural environment.
