About this event
With 70% of the UK devoted to farmland and 30 million gardeners across the country, the challenge of protecting and restoring our biodiversity goes hand in hand with a shift to nature-friendly farming and gardening. Food has lost its spiritual and ecological significance, but unites us all, whilst more and more people are discovering the benefits of growing for mental health. Yet the situation has never been more challenging for young people working, or looking to work, in this sector. Here, we’ll hear stories from three young farmers, growers and gardeners, sharing lived experience, inspiration and advice, in discussion with the audience.
