Category: Days Out

Date: 14th February 2026

Time: 11:00am – 1:00pm

Location: RSPB Rathlin West Light Seabird Centre, Rathlin Island, Ballycastle BT54 6SB

Join us for a fascinating guided tour exploring the West Light Seabird Centre, its rich maritime history, and the surrounding coastal wildlife.

Discover the story of the Visitor Centre and the RSPB’s important work on-site. As we venture down the cliff we will take in the key features of the lighthouse and local landmarks along the panoramic coastline.

You will witness first hand the spectacular sea stacks which are home to the breeding seabird colony during the summer. At this time of year you can spot returning fulmars and visiting guillemots. Ravens are also a common sight year-round, and adorable baby grey seals.

Learn how the unique geology of the cliffs supports such a thriving coastal colony. Whether you’re drawn by the wildlife, the scenery, or the stories of the lightkeepers, this tour promises a memorable experience filled with discovery and natural beauty.

Ticket price includes return transport from Rathlin Harbour to the West Light Seabird Centre.

Refreshments will be available.
