Summary: 

Join us for a day of targeted invasive scrub removal to improve habitat for Ireland’s only reptile, The Common Lizard.

Activities planned:

Hand removal of sea-buckthorn using loppers and bowsaws. Learn about Irelands only reptile, the Common Lizard Hopefully spotting some lizards basking in the early Autumn sun.

Intended Audience: Adults and Children over 16 (accompanied by an adult)

Requirements – clothing, public transport options, parking etc:

• All attendees to wear suitable outdoor clothing with sturdy shoes, we will be working on uneven ground.
• Sea buckthorn is very thorny so thick trousers are recommended.
• Dress for all weather eventualities as there is limited indoor space.
• Please bring a packed lunch, water and personal medication.
• Parking is located in the main Tyrella carpark with no charge.
• All PPE and tools are provided.
