Summary:

As part of NI Environment Week, Lough Neagh Partnership are hosting a bat walk at Killycolpy Nature Reserve.

Previous surveys have identified eight out of nine Irish bat species on site. Anyone interested in taking part is welcome to join our Shoreline and Islands Team to explore this beautiful woodland site in search of foraging and/or communicating bats.

Activities planned:

Alongside our survey team, you will be recording data such as species, behaviour and environmental conditions.

Intended Audience:

Anyone who would like to find out more about bats. The event is open to beginners and/or more experienced surveyors.

Requirements – clothing, public transport options, parking etc:

This event is weather dependent and may need to be rescheduled if the weather is unsuitable.

Please bring a torch/small head torch, dress appropriately for the weather and wear appropriate waterproof footwear.
