Charophyte ID training workshop with expert trainer Cilian Roden.

Activities planned:

Improve ID skills and better understand the ecology of charophytes, Learn how to sample aquatic vegetation and equipment needed.

Intended Audience: Intermediate and experienced botanists and ecologists looking to improve knowledge of this challenging group.

Requirements – clothing, public transport options, parking etc:

We will be travelling off paths across moderate terrain, over uneven, silty and slippery ground near the lough edge. Good fitness levels will be required for this event due to the challenging nature of the ground conditions.

This event takes place entirely outside.

What To Bring: Sturdy waterproof wellington boots, Waterproof jacket/trousers, Hand lens and ID guide books if you have them, Packed lunch/snacks and drinking water.
