Who needs dinner dates when you’ve got datasets? Join our Data Blitz to digitise NI’s river & biodiversity records. Food & fun included!
This Valentine’s day, skip the roses and fall in love with data.
Join us for a Data Blitz at the Climate + Co-Centre as part of the NI Science Festival, where we’ll rescue decades of handwritten biodiversity and water quality records (from 1990 to today!) and bring them into the digital world.
It’s a relaxed, drop-in event — come for an hour or stay all day. No experience needed, just basic computer skills, curiosity, and your own laptop (sadly, we can’t provide computers).
What’s in it for you?
- A cosy, welcoming workspace
- Background tunes while you type
- A delicious veggie/vegan Indian buffet
- Live data visualisations so you can literally watch your impact grow
You’ll be turning scribbles into science and PDFs into powerful data — all while hanging out with good people and doing something genuinely useful for the environment.
Who needs dinner dates when you’ve got datasets?
Bring your laptop, bring your curiosity, and show your love for science, biodiversity and Northern Ireland’s rivers this Valentine’s weekend.
