Category: Skills & Training
Date: 4th June 2026
Time: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Location: Glenarm Car Park, The Cloney, Glenarm, Co. Antrim BT44 0AB
This field trip is part of the Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project and will comprise visits to two Ulster Wildlife reserves. The first reserve is set in the beautiful Glenarm river valley and is a large site with a variety of woodland and grassland habitats. The second reserve at Straidkilly is smaller but has a number of rare species.
Please note, this field meeting is more suited to those with intermediate and advanced botanical skill levels, as the aim of the meeting is to do a fairly complete inventory of the species on both sites and give the attendees experience of an inventory-level survey of representative woodland and grassland habitats..
