Woodland Trust – Wildlife Conservation Volunteer (Faughan Valley)

Description

Do you live near the Faughan Valley and would like the opportunity to help with some practical tasks within our spectacular Woodland Trust sites?

About Faughan Valley

An Area of Special Scientific Interest (ASSI), the Faughan Valley is rich in flora and home to an abundance of rare and wonderful wildlife. These unique species rely on the ancient woodland here in order to survive. Otters, Atlantic salmon and lamprey swim in the Faughan River, while red squirrels and pine marten scurry in the trees overhead.

The role

This volunteer role will contribute towards the Woodland Trust’s strategy of preserving, growing, maintaining and restoring woods and trees across the UK. As a Conservation Volunteer, you make a difference by being our eyes and ears on the ground, and feeding back any useful information to your volunteer manager.
