Volunteering Opportunity: Ulster Wildlife

Description

Ulster Wildlife have a number of reserves throughout Northern Ireland and they have a lot of work that needs done at all sites, particularly in Umbria, Limavady and Maghera. All outdoors and are highly rewarding. Opportunities with Ulster Wildlife get booked up very quickly! Opportunities range in number between 10 and 15 in a group at one time. Some have access, toilet facilities and others don’t. We can provide additional information on each area if interested.

Balloo Wetland and Woodland in Bangor – opportunities are available every Friday – Meadow and Pond Maintenance as well as access support.

Ballynahone Bog, Maghera – shrub clearance

Bog Meadows, Belfast – rush management, site clearance and restoring reedbeds

Straidkilly, Glens of Antrim – glade maintenance and woodland ride maintenance

Slievnacloy, Belfast Hills – gorse management – opportunities available every Wednesday

Umbra, Limavady – invasive species removal

These opportunities are ideal for corporates or a group of individuals who wish to volunteer together.
