Groundwork NI – Meanwhile Gardens Volunteer

Description

Location: One of our Meanwhile Gardens (Connswater, Glenbryn, Hydebank, or Shankill)

Supported by: A volunteer supervisor and the horticulture team at Groundwork NI

Training: Induction training. Additional training as appropriate.

Role purpose: Volunteering is embedded within the overall vision, values, culture and aims of our organisation. It is crucial to our operations, and we appreciate the time, skills and effort our volunteers bring to Groundwork NI. We require a garden volunteer to help us ensure our garden and venue are well kept and maintained, and protection of the garden, ensuring they meet health and safety standards and can continue to be operational and safe, in order to make them welcoming and secure.

Personal qualities and experience: 

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly
  • Committed
  • Has an interest in nature and/or gardening
  • Can lift around 10kg
