This year’s Lúnasa Festival is in full swing and for the first time spans across the District encompassing Mourne, Gullion and Strangford. With more than 40 events from 30 providers there is certainly lots on offer to choose from.

Come join us as we learn more about the people of the Geopark as we tap into a lifetime love for their passions during each of their visitor experiences. We will go foraging with Brian as he introduces us to a world of wild edibles growing in the ditches and hedges of the Ring of Gullion, make traditional bread with Tracey in Denvir’s of Downpatrick and enjoy walking the footsteps of Saint Patrick at Patrick and the Pagan Hills with Duane in the Lecale Peninsula.

This year’s festival runs from the 12-28th August. Come immerse yourself in our rich landscape, culture and heritage – you’ll leave with unforgettable memories!
