Butterfly Conservation Northern Ireland – Recorder’s Day (NIRD) 2024

Category: Days Out

Butterfly Conservation’s annual recorders day, being organised this year in collaboration with CEDaR, is an opportunity for people to get together to hear about and share information on species conservation, recording schemes, atlasing projects and volunteer recording. Butterflies and moths are on the programme but there’s also an opportunity to hear about dragonflies, the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan and how you can get involved in the weekend’s Greater Belfast Area’s bioblitz City Nature Challenge. Everyone welcome.

Moth Traps will be put out the evening before so there’s an opportunity to see and hear more about species that have come to the traps from expert recorders. This will run from 8:30am – 9:30am on the same morning before the event begins.

Tea/coffee/scones will be provided but please do bring a packed lunch.
