ScotLINK – Sustainable Economics Officer

An exciting new post seeking reductions in Scotland’s environmental footprint and influencing debate around creating a more circular economy for Scotland. Working closely with the Scottish Environment LINK network, the role involves policy development among project partners, case studies concerning business practice and consumer awareness, building alliances for progressive economics, direct advocacy and communications with key stakeholders and decision–makers. The successful candidate will have experience in the application of economics to sustainable development and interest in how to measure and manage our environmental footprint. A good working knowledge of government, parliament and politics in Scotland and awareness of wider environmental and policy contexts across the UK and beyond, are important. A track record showing successful networking and advocacy for change and well–developed analytical, planning and communications skills is needed.
