TB Partnership seeking views… 5 December 2014

The TB Strategic Partnership Group Are Seeking Your Views On Bovine Tuberculosis Control In Northern Ireland

The TB Strategic Partnership Group (TBSPG) has been tasked by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development with developing a strategy and implementation action plan to effect a progressive and sustained reduction of TB in the cattle population here with a view to eventual eradication.

The TBSPG is seeking views from all parties who have an interest in TB Eradication on how it would be possible to reduce the incidence of TB in cattle, its impact on our farming industry over a period of years, and on how the cost of the programme could be reduced.

The period in which your views are requested is 7 (seven) weeks commencing on Monday 8th December, 2014 and ending on the Friday 23rd January, 2015.

The TBSPG welcomes views across a broad spectrum of issues, ranging from cattle management, programme management, compensation issues, control of wildlife, diagnostics, research requirements, etc.

Written responses, not exceeding 500 words, should be sent to:

TB Strategic Partnership,
POBox 2141,
Belfast,
BT4 9EB

Responses received after Friday 23rd January 2015 will not be considered as part of this process.

The TBSPG will decide whether further clarification is required, including receiving oral presentations.
