FFLC 2022 Event Tender

Food, Farming, Land Convention 2022 Virtual Event Management Tender

Project Background

NI Environment Link is leading a consortium of environmental and food organisations hosting NI’s Food, Farming and Land Convention on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd of March 2022. We are seeking professional support to run the convention, including end–to–end management of event platform, participant communication support and event liaison between consortium and speakers.

Climate change, nature loss, Covid–19 and Brexit will continue to present challenges in 2021 and beyond. But from these threats come decisive opportunities to create systemic change in food and farming. Our convention tackles these issues and highlights proactive sustainable solutions.

The consortium includes NI Environment Link, RSPB, Belfast Food Network, Nature Friendly Farming Network, Food NI and the Food, Farming and Country Commission. The consortium ran Northern Ireland’s first online gathering of farmers, producers and policymakers – including Michael Fakhri, UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food in February 2021 to explore how food and farming can play a pivotal role in building a more resilient future. It attracted 800 registrations, with roughly 100 participants at each of the 6 webinars held over two days.
