The Social Enterprise Rural Forum

Wednesday 27 October 2021 - 28/10/21

Online

Social enterprises are often the glue that keeps rural communities together yet face a range of challenges different to those in urban communities. That’s why we are partnering with leading rural social enterprises in Canada, Australia, Scotland, India and elsewhere to create this event to support, connect and build the rural social enterprise community.

As part of our 2021 events programme, we will be spotlighting Canada, while also addressing priorities and issues of rural social enterprises from around the world. Topics will include

  • Young people in rural communities and the next generation
  • Community land and land and asset ownership
  • Environment and climate change
  • Rural leadership
  • Indigenous community–based models
  • COVID–19: Impacts and opportunities

Times: There will be two blocks each day to allow for live participation from around the world.

Language: The event will be in English with French interpretation.

Programme and speakers: Details coming soon! Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social (InstagramTwitterFacebookLinkedIn) to stay up–to–date.

Planning to attend more of SEWF’s events this year? If you’re planning to attend the Academic Forum (16–17 November) visit the event pages to book a ticket. For Academic, book here and for SEWF 2021 book here.

Registration: To register, please enter the details of the person to be registered on the right under “Tell us about yourself.” If you do not already have a Hopin account, you will be asked to create an account for the ticket holder, which enables access to the event. After completing registration, you will receive an email confirmation from no-reply@hopin.com. Please check your junk folders and mark the email address as “safe.” You have not registered for the event until you have received this email. Prior to registering, please read our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policyfor more details.

Ticketing: There is a ticket cost to attend the event as virtual events still involve considerable resources. As a social enterprise we do not intend on generating a profit and we thank all our partners and sponsors for their support, which has significantly reduced fees.?

  • Standard ticket: From 31st August 2021 the price will increase to £39.00.
  • Low income, lower middle income and conflict affected countries: As defined by World Bank Atlas at June 2020 (also available here).
