The Outdoor Partnership Northern Ireland

Monday 10 May 2021

Online

Find out how the Outdoor Partnership can support your club and centre!

The Outdoor Partnership which has extended to NI aims to achieve an active, healthy and inclusive Wales (and NI), where outdoor recreation provides a common platform for participation, fun, achievement and employment which binds local communities, creating sustainable use and understanding of the environment.

Caoimhe is the first of three new Outdoor Activities Development Officers that will be joining the team as part of the UK lottery expansion project ‘Opening the Doors to the Outdoors’. Based at the Tollymore National Outdoor Centre in Northern Ireland, she will cover the areas of Newry, Mourne and Down – Ards and North Down – Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavion.

The role will involve establishing, and supporting existing local community outdoor clubs and groups, schools, and youth groups encouraging participation in a wide range of outdoor activities using the natural environment on their doorstep.
