Save Our Wild Isles: Food and Farming Conference

Category: Conference

This one-day conference hosted by Countryfile’s Tom Heap and led by RSPB Northern Ireland, Queen’s University Belfast and the National Trust will bring together farmers, industry, academics, conservationists and policymakers to discuss the role of agricultural policy reform, in the context of the nature and climate crisis and multiple land use related challenges, such as the rising cost of food and energy.

BBC One’s “Wild Isles” saw Sir David Attenborough explore the extraordinary, dramatic and beautiful wonders of wildlife right on our doorstep. Save Our Wild Isles builds on this momentum to showcase what we can do to save it. The event will include the launch of two agriculture and land use projects undertaken by RSPB as well as presentations from a range of experts to discuss how we can create a nature positive food and farming system that is good for people, nature and climate.

We would be delighted if you could join us for what we hope will be a day full of discussion and debate.
