Overcoming Conflict in Marine Energy

Monday 11 November 2019

Malone Lodge Belfast

The aim of the UKERC project OverCoME (Overcoming Conflict in Marine Energy) is to establish an NI–focused network of stakeholders regarding the use and governance of marine areas for energy production.

The aim of the network is to identify barriers in the development of a low carbon energy system and to develop solutions to better integrate marine–derived renewable energy into the system.

A series of meetings and mini–workshops with relevant parties will inform development of the network. This workshop is environment/policy/planning focused.  The initial draft roadmap of marine energy stakeholders in NI will be presented and receive input on what is good, what needs changed and how best to develop this stakeholder network within NI.
