NIEA Conference on Water Framework Directive – Future Partnerships

NIEA are hosting a one day conference for stakeholders on partnership working to deliver the Water Framework Directive. There will be a series of talks from the Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), Northern Ireland Water, Donegal Catchment Care, Queens University Belfast and Agri–Food and Biosciences Institute. The afternoon will consist of parallel workshops on citizen science, funding, invasive species, restoring rivers, assessing invertebrates, accessing data, a visit to a constructed wetland and the Greenmount farm. 

Workshops will be facilitated by DAERA, Northern Ireland Environment Link, Queens University Belfast, Rivers Restoration Centre and the College of Agriculture Food & Rural Enterprise (CAFRE). Registered delegates will be asked which workshops they would like to attend through EventBrite and we will aim to facilitate attendance as far as possible. Please contact NIEA through Eventbrite (on the registration pages) if you would like a publicity stand or space for a poster at the event. Lunch will be provided.
