Heritage: How To? Phase Two Launch

Thursday 18 November 2021 - 18/11/21

Online

On Thursday 18th November, join UAH in celebrating the release of our next two How To? Guides: Maintain Historic Buildings & Harness Heritage Skills. On the night we will be joined by Chris McCollum of McCollum Conservation for an insightful presentation detailing the importance of maintaining historic materials.

The Heritage: How  To? Guides will be released in four phases, with an associated events programme:

Phase One: Read Heritage, Record Heritage and Research Heritage

Phase Two: Maintain Historic Buildings and Harness Heritage Skills

Phase Three: Defend Heritage, Rescue Heritage and Reuse Heritage

Phase Four: Make Your Heritage Project Happen and Finance Your Heritage Project

Guest Lecturer:

Chris McCollum

Chris McCollum is a Chartered Building Surveyor, Accredited in Building Conservation (RICS) and works exclusively with historic buildings and structures.  He leads an award–winning Building Conservation Practice “McCollum Conservation” and is motivated by his enthusiasm for the buildings and people he works with.  His aim is to provide pragmatic expert advice where others see only problems or recommend excessive, damaging or unnecessary works.

FREE and Open to All.

This project is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This event is virtual and will be held online via zoom. UAH uses Zoom as its digital conferencing tool (www.zoom.us). An access code will be emailed to participants following registration. Please telephone the UAH office on 028 90550213 or email info@uahs.org.uk should you have any technical queries regarding joining the event.
