Halloween at Clifton Street Cemetery

Monday 26 October 2020 - 30/10/20

Clifton Street Cemetery

This Halloween week Clifton House will be hosting special Halloween tours of Clifton Street Cemetery. Opened in 1797 as the ‘New Burying Ground’ there are many tales to be told here. Death, Tragedy & Betrayal focuses on the ‘darker side’ of the graveyard’s history– from the infamous body snatchers which plagued the cemetery in its opening decades and the drastic actions taken to curb this lucrative trade, to the burial of murder victims, tragic deaths and mass burials.

Death, Tragedy and Betrayal will run 26th–30th Oct at 3pm and 31st October at 12noon. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Click here to secure your place
