Dusty’s Wildlife Rangers

Will you take up the challenge and become a Wildlife Ranger this summer?

Go on our Celebrity Dusty Duck trail, pond dip with the pros, learn ranger survival skills, how to identify wildlife, take part in the wildlife Olympics and hand feed our birds! 

When you arrive at our centre you’ll receive your FREE Wildlife Ranger log book packed with everything you need for a day of exciting discoveries…

Event Schedule: 

  • All day, every day activitys; Celebrity Dusty Duck Trail, Animal Tracks and Signs Challenge, feed the birds 
  • Friday Only: 1–4pm – Friday Craft – Make your own swan or frog! 
  • Saturdays only – Pond Dipping with the Experts – Drop in to the Castle Espie Pond Zone between 1–4pm and learn and discover what lies beneath the surface of our ponds in our amazing new, interactive pond zone!
  • Sundays only – CAN BE PRE–BOOKED: Go Wild in the Woods – Sessions at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm:

Woodland Wonders Scavenger Hunt! Join us for a Scavenger hunt around the forest, and help us gather a list of important items.    

Sunday 9th July & 13th August:

Discover woodland creatures and hunt for mini beasts and make a bug palace!    

Sunday 16th July & 20th August:

Forest Fairies – discover our magical woodland friends and make a fairy den!    

Sunday 23rd July & 27th August:

Discover Woodland Senses Walk blindfolded through the woodland and see what your senses can discover!    

Sunday 30th July & 3rd September:

Wildlife Olympics! With a nature inspired obstacle course, relay race and gold medal.
