Dragonfly Walk at Montiaghs Moss Nature Reserve

Category: Days Out

Join RSPN NI Warden Cathryn Cochrane, as she takes us on a guided tour around RSPB NI’s newest reserve, Montiaghs Moss.

Meet at Montiaghs Moss car park at 10.30am. Enjoy a stroll around the boardwalk looking at dragonflies and damselflies that breed at Montiaghs Moss. We’ll aim to see large red, azure, variable, and Irish damselflies. Four spotted chasers, hairy and common hawker dragonflies. Some of the ‘blue’ species are difficult to identify but Montiaghs Moss reserve warden will be on hand to help. Bring along binoculars, a net and identification guides if you have them. If not, there will be some available on the day.

This event is open to all but would be better suited to children aged 11+
