Community Planning – The Belfast Agenda

Wednesday 5 April 2017

Belfast City Hall

Belfast City Council are currently consulting on Belfast’s first Community Plan – The Belfast Agenda and its associated Local Development Plan (LDP). It is essential that both documents strongly prioritise the Environment and reflect the needs of the city. This is particularly important in the case of The Belfast Agenda which over the next 4 years will act as the focal point for city decision making, as the LDP and its measures for the environment will not be fully operational until 2020.

NIEL has been working with council to strengthen the environmental aspects of the Community Plan and ensure that input from the sector is included. We would like to invite you to a discussion with Council Officers in the City Hall on the morning of Wednesday 5th April (9:30am – 1:00pm to be confirmed). The meeting will also provide information on the Local Development Plan. It is intended that a series of questions to aid the discussion will be issued to participants ahead of the meeting.

We would be grateful if you could confirm your availability to attend (with any dietary requirements) via our registration form.
