BTO: NI Wetland Bird Survey Training (Online)

Saturday 30 January 2021 - 30/01/21

Online

Build your confidence with the Wetland Bird Survey methods, and learn how you can put your skills to good use locally in this valuable survey.

This course aims to provide you with the following:

  • An understanding of how to carrying out WeBS counts.
  • An introduction to waterbird ID
  • Guidance on counting flocks of birds from experienced surveyors.

In order to participate you will need:

  • broadband of sufficient speed to view live video (we can carry out a test in advance if you are unsure)
  • a computer with sound and ideally a webcam, or a tablet/smartphone

This course is FREE! As it is specifically targeted at increasing WeBS coverage in Northern Ireland we are able to offer it at no cost to participants.

Online booking is available for this event but if you have any queries about booking a place, please email northern.ireland@bto.org.
