A Long–term Environment Plan for Northern Ireland

Monday 8 April 2019

Belmont Tower, 82 Belmont Church Road, Belfast BT4 3FG

The UK government recently published ‘A Green Future: Our 25 Year Plan to Improve the Environment’, setting out what it will do to improve the environment within a generation. Government in NI has indicated its intentions to develop a Long–term Plan for the Environment in NI.

NI Environment Link is establishing an Environment Plan Task and Finish Group as a mechanism for influencing the development of the new Plan.

Interested members are invited to attend an initial event/workshop on 8th April. This session will offer a briefing from DAERA officials on preliminary thinking and the Plan development process, provide relevant insights from the development of the 25 Year Plan in England and provide an initial platform for discussing the contents of the NI Plan.
