UK Level

  • NIEL Brexit Briefing to the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly (October 2016).
  • NIEL presentation to the NI Affairs Committee at Westminster on the implications of Brexit for NI’s environment with specific regard to shared cross–border issues. (March 2017).

North/South

  • NIEL representation and submission to the All–Island Civic Dialogue on Brexit. Both plenary and sectoral meetings.
  • NIEL & Environmental Pillar presentation to the Joint Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement 1 June 2017 entitled: Brexit and Shared Environmental Issues between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland with specific regard to cross–border issues.
  • All–island conference on Brexit and the environment on the 16th June, sponsored by the European Parliament Office (Dublin) in conjunction with the Environmental Pillar to identify the environmental issues that may result from Brexit and to make sure that the voice of the European Parliament is heard in the negotiations on Brexit, and in particular on these issues.
