Consultations
The European Commission believes that opening up policy making can help the EU to become more transparent, accountable, and effective. Those affected by laws understand better than anyone what impact they have, and can provide useful evidence to improve them. The Commission is also required to consult under the Treaty on European Union (Article 11 and Protocol No 2).
All European public consultations are accessible via the “Your voice in Europe” portal. These consultations are open for a period of 12 weeks. Listed below are a number of useful links to current and recent ‘Environment related’ consultations

There a number of additional ways to become involved in EU initiatives. The European commission regularly initiates a number of public consultations on important European Environmental Consultations which directly impact upon Northern Ireland through which you can make your views known.
