Consultations

The European Commission believes that opening up policy making can help the EU to become more transparent, accountable, and effective. Those affected by laws understand better than anyone what impact they have, and can provide useful evidence to improve them. The Commission is also required to consult under the Treaty on European Union (Article 11 and Protocol No 2).

All European public consultations are accessible via the “Your voice in Europe” portal. These consultations are open for a period of 12 weeks. Listed below are a number of useful links to current and recent ‘Environment related’ consultations

Similarly you may wish to seek support from a range of Northern Ireland Representatives with positions in important European Institutions to assist you in getting your voice heard at a Brussels level. NIEL can provide a range of Services and Training designed to help you raise the profile of your organisation at a European level.
