Policy
Our role is to influence regional, national and international policy that can impact on the natural and built environment.
We work with political and government bodies; primarily the Northern Ireland Assembly and the Northern Ireland Departments, but also the UK Government and the European Union. We engage with key decision makers to promote our strategic objectives and specific policy issues.
Our major policy work includes:
- Producing Policy Priorities for Northern Ireland Environment;
- NGO working groups and joint activities;
- Representing the sector;
- Participating in Assembly Committee enquiries;
- Responding to Government consultation documents;
- Preparing Briefing Notes and Fact Sheets;
- Organising and contributing to conferences.
