NI Envtal Statistics Report
The Northern Ireland Environmental Statistics Report is an annual compendium of environmental indicators covering eight key themes: Demography and Public Opinion, Air and Climate, Water, Marine, Land, Biodiversity, Built Heritage and Waste.
The
Report details that climate change has become the biggest environmental concern
for the NI public, as it emerged that temperatures have risen by 1.5C since the
20th century. Figures published also revealed that rainfall patterns are also
changing, with the proportion of rainfall falling in winter increasing, while
summer rain drops.
