Flyaway Moth
One of the many fantastic free events at the Turn O’ The Tide  Festival in Portaferry and Strangford on 2nd and 3rd June is the chance to meet moths and find out about these much maligned  creatures.

During “Flyaway Moth” questions about moths will be explained and myths exploded!  Why do they all fly into the light, impaling themselves on windows… has it something to do with the light of the moon?  Do they only fly at night?  Do they eat your clothes? Do moths fly only at night?

Anyone wanting to become a Recorder for Moths can contact the Butterfly Conservation Society  www.bcni.org.uk
