Institute of Public Health in Ireland
Climate Change: Whose Health will be Affected?

Thu 25th February 2010, The Greenhouse, 17 St Andrew's St, Dublin

The Copenhagen Summit provided a focus for Climate Change at the end of 2009.  To build on this in 2010 the Institute of Public Health in Ireland invites you to participate in an all-Ireland event on the health effects of climate change.

Aims

  • Bring together stakeholders with a role in the climate change agenda.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Have increased knowledge of potential health impacts of climate change
  • Be aware of how climate change impacts on different groups within the population
  • Be able to identify key groups including professionals, politicians, policy makers and community groups who have roles to play in reducing likelihood of adverse health outcomes from climate change
  • Be more aware of what action is needed to reduce likelihood of adverse health outcomes.
